The FORAN Group is an international consultancy service organisation working in the areas of forestry and nature management. FORAN have traditions dated back to the 1950:s and was originally established in Norway. A fast growth in recent years has led to the fact that we now are operating in most of Scandinavia, Baltics, Poland, Ukraine and Russia. We offer our services to all forest owners as well as state organisations or other related to forest- and nature management. The company is owned by some of the largest private actors on the Norwegian, Latvian and Swedish market.

Our specialty is to collect, handle and analyze geographic information. By using state-of-the-art-technology with the best combination of all available sources for geographic information we always obtain the most cost-effective product to the customer. Sources of information we use are for instance;

LIDAR-technology, Digital aerial images, 3D-stereo interpretation and field survey using GPS and handheld computers.


The FORAN Group services and products include for instance: management plans, biological inventories, auditing, aerial photography, GIS and GPS-services and education.

We offer our services to all kind of forest owners as well as state organizations and others related to forest- and nature management.

The FORAN Group is member of the international consultancy team Norwegian Forestry Group ( www.nfg.no ).
